History
Bennett House Watching began in 1985 with Scotty Bennett widely known amongst all local old-timers. A former commercial fisherman & owner of the dragger fishing vessel "Seafarer" out of Montauk as well as a 30+ year member of the Amagansett Volunteer Fire Department. He began watching houses primarily in the Amagansett area and branched out from there. Regarded as a very honest and reliable man, he retained the vast majority of his clients for decades. As his health declined he made it clear to his family that he wished to keep the house watching business alive.
My name is Bradley, the proud grandson of Scotty Bennett. I have many fond memories as a child of accompanying my grandfather as he meticulously inspected each of his client's homes. My grandfather's work ethic and passion for helping others was one of the reasons that led me to become a Police Officer with the Town of East Hampton. Additionally, I serve as Ambulance Captain for the Amagansett Volunteer Fire Department. Watching your property is a responsibility I take very seriously and I am here so that you don't have to worry while you are out of town. I have many clients who have sought out house watching services after experiencing extensive and costly water leaks, storm damage, home intrusion, and vandalism. My clients report peace-of-mind knowing that they have a local individual who is only a phone call away.
